Under the hood, the S25 Ultra is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (3 nm), which is blisteringly fast and easily outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in S24 Ultra. Some sources claim improvement in benchmark scores of around 40-46%, making the S25 Ultra to be a better bet in advancements for gaming, multitasking, and AI tasks.

Both smartphones have a 200-megapixel Quad-Camera setup for the principal sensor. The camera set-up includes a telephoto lens of 50 megapixels (5×) and 10-megapixel telephoto (3×) lens. Further advances have been made on the ultra-wide lens of the S25 to a 50-megapixel version that would yield excellent low-light and wide-angle photography results. Among the improvements brought forth by the AI-enhanced features include ProVisual Engine, Virtual Aperture, and the Audio Eraser, which refine the experience for photography and videography.

Battery and Charging

Both the S25 Ultra and S24 Ultra carry a 5,000 mAh battery and support charging through cable at 45W and wireless at 45W. There is some small incremental gain in battery lifetime; for the S25, it says about 31 hours while the S24 Ultra just managed over 30. It comes with Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, allowing for easy charging.

Software and Features

S25 Ultra will be ready with Android 15 and One UI 7, while S24 Ultra had Android 14 with One UI 6 and can upgrade to the latest version. In addition, Galaxy AI advancements have fared much better than those on S24 ultra, with modern additions on Now Brief, Now Bar, and an improved Circle to Search. Connectivity prospects through Google Gemini look better, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and satellite SOS support.

So S25 Ultra in India sells for approx 141-999 INR for the 12GB/512GB variant, while S24 Ultra had a launch price of 129-999 in the same configuration. Hence, a bit lower price-wise, but S24 Ultra has undoubtedly been a true flagship for all times.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra upgrades in terms of performance, camera technology, AI features, and some tweaks brought in with added durabilities as the major additions. So, this is the most gadget-loaded device for anyone. But it seems too slow in changes for someone who already has an S24 Ultra because it still offers premiumity at a lower price.
