Maruti Suzuki has updated its popular MPV, Ertiga, for 2025. The new model arrives with added safety, better design, and fuel efficiency that makes it a stronger option for families across India.
Price and Variants
The updated Ertiga now starts at ₹9.11 lakh. Maruti Suzuki has made some changes in the cabin layout and comfort features. While some elements may look simplified, these updates allow the carmaker to keep pricing attractive.
Interior Updates
One of the biggest changes comes in the placement of the AC vents. Instead of being roof-mounted in the second row, the vents are now placed behind the centre console. This setup is common in many cars and helps reduce costs. For passengers in the third row, there are new dedicated vents along with blower control. Maruti has also added USB Type-C ports — two for the second row and two for the third row — making it convenient for charging multiple devices on long drives.
Cosmetic Changes
On the outside, the new Ertiga carries a redesigned roof-mounted rear spoiler. The updated spoiler features raised edges on both sides, which give the MPV a sportier and more stylish look. Apart from this, most of the styling elements remain unchanged, with the front grille and lighting setup continuing from the previous model.
Dimensions
The 2025 Ertiga is now 40mm longer than before, with a total length of 4,435mm. Along with the new spoiler, buyers will also notice an updated tailgate, new rear quarter panel, and refreshed tail lamps. These subtle changes enhance the road presence without altering the overall familiar design.

Safety Features
The most important update comes in safety. Every variant of the Ertiga now gets six airbags as standard, making it one of the safest MPVs in its class. All seats are fitted with 3-point seat belts. In the earlier version, the middle seat in the second row had only a lap belt, but this has been replaced with a proper 3-point belt.
Engine and Mileage
Engine options remain the same as before. Buyers can choose between the 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine and a CNG variant. The petrol model delivers up to 20.51 km/l mileage, while the CNG version offers an impressive 26.11 km/kg fuel efficiency. This makes Ertiga a strong choice for those who want savings along with comfort.
