It is expected that these things will become absolutely clear on the fitment factor. Then there will be the work of merging the DA the new pay-matrix and the complete calculation of pension.

Anyway, no one has given official information. A few days ago, a senior official talked about implementing the 8th Pay Commission from January 2026. He said that the 7th Pay Commission came into effect from January 1, 2026. Then a bumper increase in salary is believed to be certain.

Know how much your salary can increase?

How much the salary of central employees will increase will depend on the fitment factor. If the fitment factor increases to around 2.8, then the employees can get the benefit of a salary hike of 30 to 34 per cent. This can significantly improve the salary and allowances.

Some experts believe that if the fitment factor remains 1.8, then the salary hike will be only up to 13 per cent. It is likely to be less than the previous employees’ expectations.

How much increase is possible in DA

For information, let us tell you that the central government can increase dearness allowance by up to 3 percent. After this, DA will increase to 58 per cent. A bumper increase can be seen in the salaries of central employees.
