TVS Orbiter: TVS Motor Company has unveiled its new electric scooter, Orbiter, in India. It is the brand’s third e-scooter after iQube and X, marking a new choice for city riders. Positioned underneath the iQube, it is launched as a budget-friendly, mass-market electric scooter for everyday usage. The Orbiter competes with the likes of Bajaj Chetak 3001, Ola S1X and Hero Vida VX2 in the expanding Indian EV market.

TVS Orbiter Price, Variants and Bookings

TVS Orbiter is priced at ₹99,900 (ex-showroom, with PM e-Drive scheme, Bengaluru and New Delhi). It is available in a single top-of-the-line variant, so it is easy for customers. Pre-bookings are already open on the TVS portal with a refundable token amount of ₹5001. The deliveries will start post-Diwali in November 2025, making it one of the most anticipated launches during this festive season.

TVS Orbiter Colors

Consumers are provided with a broad spectrum of colors with six lively shades. The colors available are Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper. This variety of colors helps ensure the Orbiter has something for both young riders who enjoy bold appearances and riders who prefer more conservative colors.

TVS Orbiter Design

TVS has endowed the Orbiter with a clean and sleek look, terming it India’s most aerodynamic electric scooter. Its minimalist aesthetic is emphasized with slender front and rear combination lights. A minute windscreen rests atop the LED headlamp, with 14-inch alloy wheels providing a sporty feel. The stretchy single-piece seat with a flat footboard not only makes it functional but also rider-friendly.

TVS Orbiter Features

Although costing less than ₹1 lakh, the Orbiter has a packed feature list. It includes a 290 mm footboard for increased leg space, a spacious 34-litre under-seat compartment, and two ride modes – Eco and Power – along with regenerative braking. The premium features are cruise control, hill hold assist, reverse mode, and USB charging connector. A coloured LCD screen with call notifications enhances convenience, while TVS SmartXonnect app connectivity enables navigation, geo-fencing, theft detection, fall alerts, and OTA updates.

TVS Orbiter Battery and Range

The Orbiter is powered by a 3.1 kWh battery pack that gives an on-a-charger 158 km range. Surprisingly, the range is even higher than that of the TVS iQube with the same battery capacity, giving 123 km. Pitted against the 3.5 kWh iQube model that gives 145 km, the Orbiter still comes on top, demonstrating its efficiency and usefulness in covering higher city commutes.
