Actually, let us tell you that in September 2025, festivals and special days will be celebrated in different states across the country. Due to this, schools will remain closed, and there may be a holiday in the office. Here is a list of major holidays:
4-5 September: Onam (Kerala)
Onam is a 10-day grand festival of Kerala, which is based on the story of King Mahabali, while Thiruvonam will be celebrated on 5 September. On this occasion, children will enjoy Pookkalam decoration with flowers and traditional games.
5-6 September: Eid-e-Milad and Teachers Day
Eid-e-Milad, a religious festival of the Muslim religion, is falling. This day holds special educational and cultural importance in honour of teachers.
12 September: Friday after Eid (Jammu and Kashmir)
An opportunity to spend time with family in a religious atmosphere.
22 September: Navratri Sthapana (North India)
Navratri is about to start in the Hindu religion, due to which you will be able to enjoy folk songs, Garba and cultural programs along with Shakti Puja.

Apart from this, September also includes 4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays as holidays. In some states, schools are closed on the second Saturday, in some on the last Saturday, and in some on every Saturday.
