UP Monsoon Alert: The pace of monsoon has slowed down in most areas of Uttar Pradesh. As soon as the rain slowed down, the heat started tormenting people. After August 30, the mood of the weather is expected to change once again. Apart from the districts adjoining Uttarakhand, sporadic rains are expected in many parts of the state.
The Lucknow-based Meteorological Department has posted on the social media platform X and issued a forecast of heavy rains for the next 7 days. Earlier, it was expected to rain at various places across the country till August 29. An alert of heavy rain has been issued in all the areas of UP from August 30 to September 2.

In which districts is the alert for heavy rain?
According to the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued for heavy rains with thunderstorms in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Hapur, and Ghaziabad on Thursday. Thunderstorms, lightning, as well as moderate to heavy rains are expected in Baghpat and Badaun. Heavy rains can also occur in Badaun, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and Saharanpur.

Many areas of Moradabad, Amroha, and Bijnor can witness heavy rains with thunder and lightning. Light to moderate rains are expected in Bareilly, Sambhal and Rampur. In view of the possibility of lightning here, it is not advisable to leave the house for no reason.
The weather will change in Lucknow.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of the weather deteriorating across the state after August 30. Along with the increase in the distribution and intensity of rain in the state, a period of heavy rain can be seen again.
In the same sequence, conditions are favourable for good rains again in the capital Lucknow after Saturday. It can work to direct the flow of winds responsible for the monsoon system in the Indian subcontinent.
