Ration Card- Big news for Ration Card holders. Giving information, the District Supply Officer said that as per the instructions of the government, all such ration card holders who have not yet done e-KYC should complete this process by August 31. Otherwise, food grain distribution on their ration card / unit will be suspended for the next three months.
He informed that it is mandatory to get e-KYC done for all units except children aged 0 to 5 years. If e-KYC is not done within the stipulated period of three months, then the concerned unit will be removed from the ration card. At the same time, the beneficiaries who get e-KYC done within the time period will be eligible to get food grains again from the next month.
It has been clarified for Antyodaya ration card holders that if e-KYC of even one unit of the card has been done, then full 35 kg of food grains will be provided. Those whose e-KYC is pending will have to complete this process within the next three months.
Apart from this, it will be mandatory for all the members of the new ration card or the new unit added to the old card to get e-KYC done before receiving food grains. This work should be done as soon as the details are displayed in the e-POS machine. The District Supply Officer has appealed to all the beneficiaries of the district to get e-KYC done for all the units of their ration card before 31 August, so that there is no inconvenience during the distribution in the month of September.
