Google Pixel 10 Series : Google has taken a historic step by launching its new Pixel 10 series. The smartphones of this series will now support WhatsApp voice and video calling via satellite network. This feature will be available from August 28, 2025, i.e., from the same day when these phones will be available for sale in the market.
WhatsApp calls are now possible even without a network
This new feature has been provided in Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold models. Through this, users will now be able to receive and make WhatsApp calls even without a mobile network or Wi-Fi. During the call, a small satellite icon will appear at the top of the screen, indicating that the call is connecting via satellite network.
Where will this feature work
This feature will currently be available only on those carrier networks that support this feature. A separate fee may also be charged for this. Also, this feature will only work in open sky locations like forests, mountains, deserts, or areas where there is no mobile or internet network.
Existing features enhanced
The Pixel 10 series already had a satellite location sharing feature, through which users could send their location to Google Maps and Find Hub. Now, with the addition of the WhatsApp calling feature, its utility has increased further.
