Effort to empower women

The biggest objective of this scheme is to make women self-reliant. Women of rural areas usually depend on agricultural work, but now, by giving them knowledge of modern technology, not only will farming be made easier, but they will also get an opportunity for self-employment. This scheme is being implemented through Self Help Groups (SHGs), so that its benefits can reach rural women directly.
Subsidy and loan facility for purchasing drones
Under the scheme, women will be given up to an 80 percent subsidy for purchasing drones. A maximum subsidy of up to Rs 8 lakh will be provided. For the remaining amount, women will be provided loans from the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) at an interest rate of just 3 percent. In this way, women can easily buy drones and start their work.

To take advantage of the Namo Drone Didi Yojana, the applicant woman must be associated with a self-help group. Also, her age should be between 18 to 45 years. This scheme has been implemented only for women living in rural areas.
