What to do first?
Let us tell you that if your RC is lost or missing, then immediately register a report at the nearest police station.
After this, inform the RTO who issued your RC about this in writing.
After this, apply for a duplicate RC by filling out Form 26.
Now pay the fee as per the rules of the Central Government.
Which documents are required?
Some specific documents are required to apply for a duplicate RC. Which includes a filled Form 26, a copy of FIR, Pollution Under Control Certificate, valid insurance paper of the vehicle, address proof like Aadhar card, electricity bill, etc., copy of PAN card, affidavit of loss of RC, etc.

How to apply online?
First of all, go to the official website of Parivahan Sewa.
Go to the Online Services menu, and select Vehicle Related Services.
Now select the state where your vehicle is registered.
Then click on the option of Duplicate RC.
Fill the online form and verify the auto-filled information related to your vehicle.
Pay the prescribed fee online (fees depend on the type of vehicle).
Submit the receipt generated after the application, along with all the required documents, to the RTO.
