DL Aadhaar Linking Process: The Ministry of Transport of the Government of India has recently issued an important directive for driving license and vehicle owners. In the message sent by the ministry, all license holders have been asked to authenticate their mobile number through Aadhaar and update it on the transport portal. Its main objective is to make transport services more transparent, secure, and digital.

Why has this message come?
In the message sent by the ministry, it is clearly stated that all license holders should go to the parivahan.gov.in portal and update their mobile number through Aadhaar Authentication. If someone has already completed this process, then they do not need to do it again. The government believes that this step will not only simplify the services but will also stop fraud.
What will be the benefit of linking a mobile number?
After linking the mobile number to Aadhaar, you will get information about services like e-challan, insurance renewal, vehicle transfer, and license renewal directly on your phone. This will not delay any process, and the required notices or updates will reach on time. If the mobile number is not updated, then there may be problems in many services in the future.
How to update the mobile number?
The option of Update Mobile Number via Aadhaar is available on the portal of the Ministry of Transport. By going here, you have to fill in information like vehicle registration number, driving license details, date of birth, and chassis number. After this, OTP will come on the mobile linked to your Aadhaar, by entering which the process can be completed.
How to link a driving license to Aadhaar?
To link the driving license to Aadhaar, scan the Sarathi QR Code available on the portal or go to the relevant page. Here, enter the driving license number, date of birth, state name, and captcha code. After this, verify with Aadhaar OTP and click on Submit. As soon as the whole process is completed, your DL will be linked to Aadhaar.
