According to IMD, heavy rains are expected in many states of North, East, Northeast, Central, and South India from August 21 to 24.

According to the Meteorological Department, a period of heavy rains is expected to start in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura of Northeast India over the next 7 days. Heavy rain alert in these States

According to Skymet, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in South Gujarat today. The Meteorological Department has predicted that light to moderate rain may occur in the Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Pradesh regions. Apart from this, light to moderate rain is expected to appear in many states, including Northeast India, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh. Heavy rain may occur in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Western Rajasthan.

The Meteorological Department says that Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, and Gujarat state may witness sporadic to heavy to hefty rains during the next 24 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in various parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Western Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh from August 20 to 24.
