The England cricket team has confirmed the white-ball series against Sri Lanka. This series will be an important part of their preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The ODI series will start on January 22, 2026, and the last match will be played on January 27.

After the ODI series, a three-match T20 series will be played. It will end on February 3.

This tour of Sri Lanka is very important for England. Playing in these conditions will give them good experience before the 2026 World Cup. England has won the T20 World Cup twice, in 2009 and 2022, and they want to win the third trophy.

Sri Lanka will play its next T20 series against Zimbabwe, starting on 6 September 2025. At the same time, England will play a home T20 series against South Africa in Cardiff from 10 September 2025.
