If you are thinking of buying a new and affordable scooter in the coming months, then the upcoming model of TVS can be special for you. TVS Motor Company introduced many new two-wheelers at the Delhi Auto Expo in January 2025. The scooter that has garnered the most discussion among these is the TVS Jupiter CNG. The company claims that it will be the world’s first CNG-powered scooter and will be launched in the Indian market soon.

1 kg of CNG will give 84 km of mileage

World First CNG Scooter

The biggest attraction of the TVS Jupiter CNG is its mileage. According to the company, this scooter can run up to 84 km on 1 kg of CNG. It has a CNG tank with a capacity of 1.4 kg, which is placed under the seat. If the tank is filled, this scooter can travel up to 226 km in one go. Its running cost is said to be less than Rs 1 per kilometer, which is much cheaper than petrol.

Powerful engine and powertrain

Jupiter CNG has a 125 cc bio-fuel engine, which is compliant with OBD2B standards. This engine produces 5.3 kW of power at 6000 rpm and 9.4 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. Its powertrain is designed to deliver smooth performance and better mileage.

The scooter will come with modern features

World First CNG Scooter

TVS has equipped this scooter not only with economical features but also with smart features. It will have features like LED headlight, USB charging port, stand cut-off, and Bluetooth connectivity. However, due to the CNG tank installed in it, its boot space may be slightly less.

Possible price and launch

Currently, the price of the TVS Jupiter 125 petrol version is between Rs 88,174 and Rs 99,015. It is believed that its CNG version will also be launched in the same range, i.e., around Rs 90,000 to Rs 99,000. The company can launch it in the market in the coming months.
