Maruti Escudo will be the company’s first car in India to be equipped with Level-2 ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance System). This means that you will get features like automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control, which will make long drives even easier.

Power Tailgate
If you have ever wondered how difficult it is to open the trunk when you have luggage in your hands, Maruti has solved this problem! The Escudo will be equipped with a power tailgate feature, which you can open with a remote or foot movement. This feature is not available even in its main rival Hyundai Creta.
4WD System
Let us tell you that Escudo will share the powertrains of Grand Vitara, but it will have a big advantage – 4WD (four-wheel drive) system. This feature will be a great option for those customers who want to enjoy off-road adventure along with the highway.
Strong Hybrid and CNG
Escudo will be available in 1.5L petrol, 1.5L hybrid (Toyota sourced) and CNG options. The hybrid version will have a combination of 92bhp petrol engine + 79bhp electric motor, which will give better mileage. Also, it will have an underbody CNG kit, which will keep the boot space completely free.

Now talking about the price, the price of Escudo is expected to be between ₹ 9 lakh to ₹ 16 lakh (ex-showroom). Its base variant can be available for ₹ 9-10 lakh, while the top-end variant with all the advanced features can go up to ₹ 16 lakh.
