Australia A will tour India next month. The team will play one unofficial Test series and one ODI series against India A from September 16 to October 5. Some big Indian players may also play. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma can join the ODI matches. After that, they will play in the ODI series against Australia.
The India A team for the unofficial Test may see Abhimanyu Easwaran and Ruturaj Gaikwad as openers. Both have not played a Test yet. Easwaran went to Australia and England but did not play. Ruturaj went to West Indies in 2023. Easwaran did well in unofficial Tests, so he may keep his place. He has waited a long time for his Test debut. Ruturaj has already played in ODIs and T20s. Easwaran may also be the captain.
India A Batting Line-up
After the openers, Sai Sudarshan may play at number three. After this series, he will also tour West Indies. Sudarshan recently made his Test debut against England. Karun Nair and Sarfaraz Khan are almost sure in the team. Karun got a chance in England but could not make big runs. Ishan Kishan will also play.
Ishan was close to joining the Indian Test team against England. He was almost picked as Rishabh Pant’s replacement but got injured. N Jagadeesan came in as Pant’s replacement. Jagadeesan may also get a place in India A. Devdutt Padikkal will also be part of the squad.

All-rounder Shardul Thakur can play for India A. Mohammed Shami, who was out for a long time, may also return through this series. He missed the England series. Anshul Kamboj and Khaleel Ahmed will be in the squad. Anshul made his Test debut recently against England. Tanush Kotian and Manav Suthar may be the two spinners in the team.
