The UP Cop mobile app launched by Uttar Pradesh Police has now become even more useful. Recently, four new services have been added to it, which include the facility to view the status of vehicle challan and know the status of passport application. This step will provide great relief to the general public from visiting passport offices and police stations.

Launched in 2019
The UP Cop app was launched in the year 2019, so that people can avail many police related services sitting at home. Initially, online FIR, FIR, character certificate, verification of servants, arrests of police station area, and information about reward for criminals were made available through this app. Gradually, changes were made in the app, and today, more than 27 facilities are available in it.
New services added
Four new services were added to the app last week. These include the facility of the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (1930) to deal with cybercrime. Now, any person can immediately register a complaint through this portal if he is a victim of cybercrime.
Similarly, in case of mobile phone theft or loss, the facility of the Central Equipment Identity Register Portal has also been made available. Mobile can be blocked by registering information on this portal.
Also, now the status of the vehicle challan can also be seen sitting at home, and online payment of the challan amount is also possible. Apart from this, the facility to check the status of passport application will also be available directly from the UP Cop App.

According to CO Deepak Shukla, the objective of UP Cop is to provide easy services to the common people. With the addition of new facilities, people will get rid of the long-running around of police stations and passport offices, and they will be able to take advantage of all the information and services sitting at home.
