Price
First of all, talking about the price, the Hero Xpulse 210 starts at ₹ 1.76 lakh (ex-showroom) while with the new prices, the Kawasaki KLX230 is now available for ₹ 1.99 lakh. In terms of price, the Xpulse is still the cheaper option, but the new price of the KLX230 makes it an attractive offer.

Performance
The Hero Xpulse 210 is powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 24.26 bhp of power and 20.7 Nm of torque with DOHC 4-valve technology. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the Kawasaki KLX230 uses a 230cc air-cooled engine that comes with a SOHC 2-valve configuration and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Features
Hero Xpulse 210 looks ahead of KLX230 in terms of modern features. It has a 4.2-inch TFT display which comes with navigation support. LED projector headlamp and semi-fairing make it more suitable for touring. The large 13-litre fuel tank proves beneficial for long distance trips.
The Kawasaki KLX230 comes with a basic digital instrument cluster and LED headlamps. There is no fairing, which shows its pure off-road focus. The small 7.5-litre fuel tank is fine for urban use, but long distance trips may require frequent refuelling.

In terms of ground clearance, the KLX230’s 265mm is much better than the Xpulse 210’s 220mm. The KLX230 also takes the lead in terms of suspension travel with 260mm suspension travel on both front and rear, while the Xpulse has 190mm front and 170mm rear suspension travel. Both bikes are fitted with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels which are ideal for off-roading.

The higher ground clearance and longer suspension travel of the KLX230 make it a better choice for tough off-road trails. The Xpulse 210 also performs well off-road, but it is basically an all-rounder bike designed keeping in mind urban use and highway touring as well.
