Weather Forecast: Rain continues in many states, including the country’s capital, Delhi. On August 14, light rain has been observed in Delhi-NCR since morning, affecting everyday life. The Meteorological Department issued an alert on Thursday due to heavy rains in several states, including Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. According to IMD, all schools in the Lucknow district of UP have been closed due to heavy rains. A heavy rain alert has been issued in Delhi NCR till August 16. Apart from this, the IMD has issued a warning regarding very heavy rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir from 13th to 15th. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh from 11-14th and in Western Uttar Pradesh on 15th.

Heavy rain warning in Bihar

Floods are being reported in 10 districts of Bihar, affecting over 17 lakh people. Major rivers, such as the Ganga, Kosi, and Budhi Gandak, are flowing above the danger mark. Thirty-two teams of NDRF and SDRF have been deployed for relief and rescue work.

Rain warning in these states

Due to continuous heavy rainfall in Nepal, many areas of Northern Bihar are facing flooding. According to the Meteorological Department, this situation is expected to persist for the next few days. Heavy rain is being seen in Uttarkashi and the surrounding areas. Heavy to hefty rain is expected at some places in Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir during August 15.

According to the Meteorological Department, the phase of rain may start from Thursday in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, rain can also be recorded on August 15. The Meteorological Department estimates that it may rain even when the Prime Minister hoists the tricolour at the Red Fort on Independence Day. Apart from this, heavy rain is also expected in Punjab and Haryana.

According to IMD, heavy rain is expected in many places in West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan Bengal, and Meghalaya until August 18. Apart from this, there is a warning of heavy rainfall in Odisha on August 16 as well.
