Maruti Dzire: Maruti Suzuki’s sedan Dzire has topped the sales chart in July 2025, beating popular models like Swift, WagonR, Baleno, and Brezza. While the sedan segment has been facing a slowdown, Dzire continues to dominate. Priced from ₹6.84 lakh, it has become the country’s number one car, leaving behind even Maruti’s highest-selling models.
Dzire Outsells Every Other Maruti Model
In July 2025, Maruti Suzuki retailed 20,895 units of the Dzire. This is a huge leap from June 2025, when it retailed 15,484 units. Demand for Dzire was so high that it left behind the sales of Ertiga, WagonR, and Swift — vehicles that typically top the company’s charts.
Strong Sales Growth for Maruti
Maruti Suzuki retailed 1,37,776 units in July 2025, down from 1,18,906 units in June 2025. That implies the company welcomed 18,870 more customers just in one month. The majority of the models reported increased sales, although there were some exceptions.
Ertiga, WagonR, and Swift Performance
Ertiga was number two in July sales with 16,604 units, an increase from 14,151 units in June. WagonR took second position with 14,710 units, an improvement from 12,930 units previously. Swift recorded sales of 14,190 units, marginally more than June’s 13,275.
Brezza and Other Models
Brezza sold 14,065 units in July, marginally lower than 14,507 in June. Fronx did well with 12,872 units, a rise from 9,815. Baleno also recorded a significant increase, selling 12,503 units versus 8,966 in June. Eeco shifted 12,341 units, higher than 9,340.
Models with Mixed Results
Grand Vitara dispatched 6,373 units, a slight decline from 6,828 in June. Alto K10 moved up to 5,910 units from 5,045. XL6 increased marginally from 2,011 to 2,146 units. Ignis sales increased to 1,977 units from 1,484. Conversely, Celerio dipped to 1,392 units from 2,038, while S-Presso declined to 912 from 1,369.
Low Figures for Jimny, Invicto, and Ciaz
Jimny sold 362 units in July, which was nearly identical to June’s 371. Invicto sold 351 units, an increase from 264. Ciaz experienced the sharpest decline with only 173 units sold in July against June’s 1,028.
