Monsoon Update: The weather in the country is changing rapidly. Heavy rains are continuing in many states of the country. Continuous rains in some states have caused havoc. Regarding the weather in Delhi, there is a possibility of light rain on Wednesday, while heavy rains may resume from Thursday. Due to the rain, the temperature is also expected to drop. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there may be incidents of heavy rains, thunderstorms and lightning across the country in the coming days. Heavy to very heavy rains are being reported in many states. Landslides are commonly observed in hilly areas, while floods are more prevalent in low-lying areas.

An alert has been issued due to heavy rains in certain areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh over the next 6 days. East Central India and adjoining Northern Peninsular India may experience the fiercer form of the monsoon in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, a period of heavy rainfall is expected to start in Rayalaseema and Telangana from August 13 to 17.

Warning of heavy rain in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued due to heavy rain in some regions of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya for the next two days. Whereas, heavy rain may occur at some places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Assam on August 12. An alert has been issued in view of heavy rain for the next two days in Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Muzaffarabad.

Warning of rain in the next 48 hours in UP

A period of heavy rain is expected to start again from August 13 in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued regarding rain, thunder and lightning in many districts of UP for the next two days. Apart from this, heavy to hefty rain is expected in the state in the next 48 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, on August 13, rain can be recorded along with thunderstorms at many places in western UP and almost all places in eastern UP. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rainfall can also be observed in some places.

Weather condition in Bihar
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert because of heavy rains in West Champaran, Gopalganj and Siwan districts of Bihar on August 13. Heavy rains are expected in Samastipur, Kishanganj, East Champaran, Khagaria, and Munger districts of Bihar. Apart from this, moderate-level rain may occur in the districts of South Bihar, including Patna. On August 14, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya and Nawada.

Red alert issued in Uttarakhand
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain over the next two days. On Wednesday, a red alert was issued in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Champawat, and Bageshwar due to extremely heavy rainfall.

Warning of Heavy rain in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to hefty rainfall in Uttarakhand from August 13 to 15. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert due to heavy rainfall in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Nainital, Bageshwar, and Champawat districts. Apart from this, a warning has been issued for thunderstorms and lightning in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir from 13 to 15 August.
