Design

The Himalayan is designed for adventure riding. Its high handlebars, long travel suspension and strong frame make it ready to ride on any kind of terrain. With 220 mm ground clearance, this bike is perfect for both Indian roads and off-road tracks. Apart from this, the Himalayan has a large fuel tank (15 liters) which reduces the need to fill petrol frequently during long journeys. Also, its strong build quality and simple but attractive design give it a distinct identity on the road.

Engine and performance

The Himalayan is powered by a 411cc single cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 24.3 bhp power and 32 Nm torque. This engine is more focused on low-end torque, making it great for hilly terrain and off-road riding. With a 5-speed gearbox, this bike can reach a top speed of 120-130 kmph, but its real strength lies in the cruising speed of 80-90 kmph. Its fuel efficiency is around 30-35 kmpl, which is quite good for an adventure bike. This bike gives excellent performance not only on the highway but also on hilly roads.

Riding Experience

The biggest feature of Himalayan is its comfortable riding position. The upright riding position and comfortable seat make it perfect for long distance travel.
