Hero Xoom 160 Review : Hop on a scooter that feels like it should be an adventure-companion-two-wheeler. It should scream boldness and be very stylish, but it’s also packed with modern touches. This is where the Hero Xoom 160 comes into play-the everyday ride gets a little bit exciting.
The first thing that really grabs one’s attention is the muscular styling. Tall windscreen, chunky body panels and split LED headlight give the impression that one is preparing for an exploration-even if only for city riding. The 14-inch alloy wheels wore flesh-coloured block-pattern tires. This adds in ruggedness while enabling more stability on a variety of road surfaces.
Under the seat, it has a 156 cc engine, which is liquid-cooled and uses CVT for transmission. It offers a smooth acceleration even with a pillion when producing about 14.6 bhp at 8,000 rpm and has 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. For the ride, front telescopic forks and rear dual shock absorbers refine and improve the ride, leaving one feeling comfortable and planted on all kinds of roads.

Most exciting feature of all is the smart tech on board. You get a digital instrument console with turn-by-turn navigation, remote keyless ignition, an ABS-enabled disc brake, and i3S silent start tech, balancing smoothness and efficiency. These tech enhancements really make the city commuting really easy and add that modern touch to the experience of riding.
Its usability features balance off well with seat height of 787 mm, ground clearance of 155 mm and weight peg at 142 kg. Reportedly, rider feedback claims a strong throttle response and even a pillion feels that this maxi-scooter handles quite well-highlighted practicality for day-to-day real-life use. Quite refined in itself, the liquid-cooled 160 cc engine has a little bit of extra juice over normal scooters to make it fun on those long stretches but also in traffic.

This scooter just comes alive. Adventure-style looks, a punchy performance, and then seamlessly intelligent, all inside a comfortable ride. It’s a modern scooter that takes you places, but it excites you. If you have caught the commuter-boredom blues and want a little more pizazz with some tech, this one should definitely get a test ride.
