Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar was tricked. His old mobile number was given to a boy from Gariaband district in Chhattisgarh. After this, Patidar faced a strange situation. He had to take help from the police, and then the issue was solved. The boy who got the number was named Manish. At first, Manish and his friend thought someone was joking with him.
According to an NDTV report, Patidar’s old mobile number was not active for more than 90 days, so the telecom company deactivated it. Later, the number was bought by Manish, who lives in Madagaon, Gariaband district. Manish activated the Reliance Jio SIM card in late June. Soon after activation, Manish and his friend Khemraj saw that Patidar’s photo was showing on the WhatsApp profile of the new number.
Calls From Cricket Legends
After this, Manish started getting calls from famous cricket personalities. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers called, trying to reach Patidar. At first, Manish and his friend Khemraj were shocked, but they did not understand how important this number was. They thought it was just a joke.
Patidar Steps In, Police Called
Things became serious when Patidar himself called Manish to get his old number back. He explained that this number was with his coaches, teammates, and close friends. But Manish and Khemraj were doubtful and jokingly replied, “And we are MS Dhoni.” They did not believe it was really Patidar speaking.
Patidar then warned he would send the police. Within ten minutes, the local police came to Manish’s house. Realizing the seriousness, Manish and Khemraj cooperated and gave the SIM card back to Patidar. Khemraj later said it was like a dream come true. He told a TV channel, “Because of the wrong number, I got to talk to Kohli. My life’s goal is fulfilled.”
