UP Monsoon Alert: Monsoon is at its peak in Uttar Pradesh these days, where it is raining like a disaster. From west to east, thunder and rain have brought the hustle and bustle of life to a standstill. More than a hundred villages in UP are in the grip of floods. Not only this, langars are being run at many places for the flood-affected people. People are forced to live in relief camps due to water entering their homes.
There are many areas in Prayagraj and Varanasi where the situation has worsened due to the floods. Raksha Bandhan, the festival of brother-sister affection celebrated yesterday, was also affected due to the floods. Many sisters could not reach to tie rakhi on their brothers’ wrists due to the rising water level. There is no relief from bad weather even today, i.e. 10th August. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains with thunder in more than 30 districts of UP.

Heavy rain alert in these districts
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in Banda, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Farrukhabad and Kannauj. Apart from these, heavy rain is expected in Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Saharanpur and Shamli. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in Muzaffarnagar, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah and Agra.
Along with this, a heavy rain alert has been issued in Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor and Moradabad. Heavy rain may also occur in Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Mahoba and Lalitpur. Rain is also expected in Prayagraj, Mau, Ghazipur and Deoria.
The situation worsened due to rain in UP.
The situation in Uttar Pradesh is worsening due to rain, where people got relief from the heat, but floods have become a disaster. Along with affecting normal life, the crops of the farmers have been completely submerged. The Ramganga river has caused great damage by eroding the sugarcane fields in many areas of Moradabad, Rampur and Bijnor. Flood water is still flowing in the forests. Small and big roads have been cut off at many places.
