A good news has come for women before Raksha Bandhan. This time the governments of many states are going to provide special facilities to women in travelling. They will not have to worry about money while going and coming home on the festival.

For this, a big decision has been taken regarding bus service in some states. The purpose of this scheme is that sisters can meet their brothers without any problem. Bus rides are free in Delhi, Punjab and Karnataka

In Delhi, women can travel in DTC and cluster buses without paying fare and this facility will continue on Rakshabandhan day as well. Let us tell you that not only in Delhi but also in Punjab and Karnataka, bus travel is free for women. In both these states, women can travel without ticket in state government buses.

This facility will continue on Raksha Bandhan day as well. Due to which women will be able to go to meet their brothers on the festival without any expense. This decision will not only provide relief to women. But they will also not face any hindrance in travelling on the festival day. This step of the government is proving to be a big gift for women.

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, not only in Delhi, Punjab and Karnataka, but in many other states too, women are being given the facility of free travel in buses. Like every year, this time too women and small children will be able to travel for free in government buses in Uttarakhand.

This facility will also be applicable on 9th August in Bhopal and Indore of Madhya Pradesh. The Rajasthan government has announced free travel for women in state transport buses on both 9th and 10th August. In Chandigarh too, women will be able to travel for free in all local buses of the tricity area. But this facility will not be applicable on long distance buses.
