A Chennai couple has told their story on Reddit, because no doubt that raising children costs a lot of money.

This Chennai couple told in a Reddit post that their monthly income is Rs 78,000, out of which they can save only Rs 8,000 every month. Because all the money is spent on such essential expenses. The couple further wrote in the post that money is spent on everything from children’s milk-diapers to schooling, health and other needs.

23,000 rupees are given in Germany
The system of Germany is different from many countries in the world. Here, the government gives 255 euros (23,000 rupees in Indian rupees) every month to every parent for the care of the child. The German government has named this scheme Kindergeld. No income group has been left out in this scheme rather whether you are rich or middle class, this scheme is available to everyone.
According to the rules made in the scheme, if the child is living with grandparents or any other guardian, and they pay tax in Germany, then this help is given.

Till when does the government give money?
In Germany, this facility continues till the child turns 18 years old. However, if the child is unemployed or is struggling with any condition like disability, then the government benefits continue to be available even further. Here in the country, people who earn less also get the Supplementary Child Allowance along with Kindergeld. And if you are from the high-income group, you can choose the tax-free child allowance option.
