Tata Curvv EV : Tata has a penchant for introducing updates and special editions periodically to keep customer interest. This could mean that in October 2025, we could see a new edition of the Curvv EV, perhaps with sportier styling like a Dark Edition, or even cosmetic upgrades like blacked out elements and a new design for alloy wheels. Tata could also introduce software upgrades for the infotainment system or improvements in range and battery performance. There could also be a possibility of introducing a dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant that could offer better grip and power.

Battery, Features, and Performance

Currently, the Curvv EV comes with a choice of two battery packs having capacities of 45 kWh and 55 kWh, with the ARAI claimed range being close to 502 km and 585 km, respectively. It is designed for fast charging, reaching an 80% charge in around 40 minutes. The electric motor generates 215 Nm of torque and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in around 8.6 seconds, making it efficient and fun to drive.

In terms of features, the Curvv EV is already replete with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an all-panoramic sunroof, six airbags, and level 2 ADAS features like blind-spot warning and lane-keep assist. The 5-star Bharat NCAP rating adds to its appeal. An update due in October might improve some safety features and/or connected-car technologies.

Why the October 2025 Launch Makes Perfect Sense

Like every good Indian company, Tata Motors have this pattern of launches during the peak festive mood of the customer-buy seasons, which include Diwali and Navratri. By doing so, Tata would be creating a buffer between the updated launches in the new perimeters of the EV segment by competitors like Hyundai, MG, and Mahindra. In addition, interest in the model would be refreshed while boosting sales momentum.
