MG has finally introduced a head-turner that blends futuristic design with powerful electric performance. After much anticipation, this striking new convertible has entered the Indian market, promising a thrilling ride and eye-catching style. Its global buzz and aggressive stance are now set to shake up India’s premium electric car space.

MG Cyberster

MG has officially launched the Cyberster electric convertible in India. This performance-focused roadster comes with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹72.49 lakh, but this offer is only for customers who had made prior bookings. For others, the price is ₹74.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This is MG’s second model to be sold through the premium ‘MG Select’ dealership network. Although it’s a fresh launch in India, the car had already gained international attention after its showcase at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Design and Looks

MG Cyberster carries a sporty and modern design language with a low-swing convertible body. Built on an electric vehicle platform, it features a 2,690 mm wheelbase and large 20-inch staggered alloy wheels. Its smooth shoulder lines add to its dynamic look. Buyers get four exterior colour options: Nuclear Yellow with Black Roof, Flair Red with Black Roof, Andes Grey with Red Roof, and Modern Beige with Red Roof.

Performance and Speed

Under the hood—or rather, under the floor—sits a 77 kWh battery pack placed between the axles. This is paired with dual electric motors that generate a massive 510 PS of power and 725 Nm torque. The result? MG Cyberster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. On a full charge, it delivers a claimed range of up to 510 kilometres, placing it in serious competition with global EV brands.

Interior and Cabin Feel

Inside, the Cyberster is packed with modern tech and stylish materials. It includes two 7-inch digital displays along with a large 10.25-inch central infotainment screen. Upholstery is done in a mix of suede-like fabric and vegan leather, offering a premium yet sustainable feel. The cabin also houses dual-zone climate control, a PM 2.5 air filter, and a high-end Bose sound system.

Driving Features and Controls

MG has focused on giving the driver a real performance experience. The cabin includes performance-style seats, a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel with integrated controls, and a rotary selector for launch control. Paddle shifters are included as well, allowing drivers to adjust regenerative braking levels while driving.
