The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) recently changed the rules for FASTag. Now if the FASTag is not properly pasted on the windscreen of the vehicle, that is, it is hanging or is half pasted, then your FASTag can be blacklisted. Apart from this, if you get the FASTag scanned by holding it in your hand instead of installing it in the car, then also your FASTag will be blacklisted. NHAI considers such a situation as “tag-in-hand”.
