Vivo T4R 5G: This news is really great for the Indian smartphone market. Vivo is now bringing a phone which is not only equipped with strong features, but is also in the news for its durability. This new phone named Vivo T4R 5G is launching in India on 31 July 2025 at 12 noon. This phone will be sold through Vivo India e-store, Flipkart and select offline stores.
New chapter of durability: IP68 and IP69 certification
Till now you have rarely seen mid-range phones that they get such strong protection. But Vivo T4R 5G seems to be leaving everyone behind in this matter. The phone has got both IP68 and IP69 ratings. This means that this device is completely safe from dust and even if it is immersed in water up to a depth of about 1.5 meters for half an hour, nothing will happen. Not only this, IP69 certification means that it can also withstand high-temperature and high-pressure water jets. That is, this phone will be carefree in everyday troubles like rain, dust, accidental fall.
Amazing camera: 50MP Sony sensor and 4K recording
Vivo’s cameras are always considered special anyway and this time too the company has left no stone unturned. In the T4R 5G, you will get a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary rear camera, which comes with OIS i.e. optical image stabilization. This sensor will be no less than a treat for photography enthusiasts. The special thing is that both the front and rear cameras of the phone support 4K video recording, which is rarely seen in this price range.
The phone has an Aura Light ring flashlight which is in a round shape around the camera module. It especially improves the lighting in portrait photos. While there is another camera (probably 2MP depth or macro) at the rear, there is some confusion about the front camera – some reports say it is 32MP and some say 16MP. But one thing is clear, the front camera is also recording 4K videos, which is a great thing.
Processor and performance: The power of MediaTek Dimensity 7400
The phone is powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 7400 chipset which supports 5G and has the ability to deliver great performance in every case – daily use, gaming, multitasking. This processor is considered to be quite balanced and powerful for the mid-range.
Display: Combo of beauty and smoothness
The biggest USP of the T4R 5G is also its display. The phone has a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with a quad-curved design. This design not only looks premium, but is also very comfortable to hold in the hand. Vivo has claimed that this will be India’s thinnest quad-curved smartphone, whose thickness is only 7.39mm.
The display has a refresh rate of 120Hz, which makes UI navigation and scrolling very smooth. Its resolution is also around 1.5K, which makes the visual experience sharper. According to some reports, its brightness can go up to 5000 nits, which makes it perfect for outdoor use.
Battery and charging: End of day’s tension
There is a little debate about the battery, in some places 7300mAh is being talked about, while somewhere 6000 or 6500mAh is mentioned. Whatever it is, it is certain that a big battery is being given in the phone which will last for a long time after charging once. With this, 90W wire charging support will also be available, which can fully charge the phone in a few minutes.
Software and design: Latest Android and premium look
The phone will run on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. In this, you will get a lot of customization options and the new UI experience will also be clean and fresh. Talking about the design, the back look of the phone will be quite stylish – pill-shaped camera module, Aura Light ring and color options like white shade or purple gradient will enhance its beauty.
RAM, storage and other features: Try everything
In Vivo T4R 5G, you can get 8GB RAM in the base variant, which will also support virtual RAM expansion. Storage options can be found from 128GB to 256GB. The phone will have all the modern connectivity features like 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C.
Price and competition: Tough competition in the mid-range
The price of Vivo T4R 5G is expected to be between ₹ 15,000 to ₹ 20,000. If this price proves to be correct, then this phone will directly compete with phones like iQOO Z10R, Realme Narzo 70 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 5G.
