MG Hector Plus: MG has updated the prices of some of its best-selling models during the month of July, and the Hector Plus is one of them. Famous for its size and powerful presence, this 6- and 7-seater SUV now comes with a higher price tag for all variants. If you are looking to purchase this vehicle, then get ready to pay as much as ₹30,400 more.

New Price Hike Applies to All Trims

MG has raised the prices of Comet EV, Astor, Hector, and Hector Plus. In Hector Plus, the increase is universal – no matter if you’re looking for the 6-seater or 7-seater model. None of the variants have been exempted.

The price now starts from ₹19.35 lakh and goes all the way up to ₹24.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Even the base Select variant has been increased, albeit slightly lower than the higher trims.

Petrol Variants Witness an Increase up to ₹30,400

Within the petrol segment, Select Pro 7S MT has moved from ₹19.10 lakh to ₹19.35 lakh, which is a rise of ₹25,500. Its CVT variant has risen by ₹26,700.

Progressing upwards, Sharp Pro trims at both 6S and 7S variants now retail for ₹28,100 (MT) and ₹29,300 (CVT) more. The top-of-the-line Savvy Pro CVT is where you’ll need to shell out ₹30,400 more – the biggest hike in the petrol range.

Diesel Trims Also Get Price Revision

The diesel MT trims have also witnessed a palpable increase. The base Style variant has risen by ₹23,900. As you move up, the increase becomes steeper. Smart Pro 7S Diesel now commands ₹27,000 more, and Smart Pro Diesel ₹27,400 more.

At the premium end, Sharp Pro Diesel 6S has risen by ₹29,600, which is the steepest increase in the diesel lineup.

Special Editions Aren’t Spared Either

Even the special Blackstorm and Snowstorm editions have seen a price hike. For instance, Sharp Pro Blackstorm 7S Petrol CVT is now priced at ₹23.48 lakh, an increase of ₹29,100. Blackstorm and Snowstorm edition diesel variants in 7-seater configuration now cost ₹29,700 more.

In the 6-seater models, there’s a price hike of ₹29,900, with the new price being ₹23.72 lakh (ex-showroom).

What Buyers Should Expect Now

With this update, MG Hector Plus continues to be among the best feature-packed 3-row SUVs available, but no longer at such an affordable price. Regardless of whether you’re looking for the petrol, diesel, or special edition variants, prices are up by a considerable amount. Purchasers will now have to consider the increased cost before taking one home.
