Why did the government remove the pink ticket?

According to the Delhi government, earlier any woman could travel free in the bus, which increased revenue leakage and caused a loss of Rs 65,000 crore to DTC. Now smart cards will prevent fraud and ensure proper use of the service. Let us tell you that the government is thinking something big about the Saheli card. The government plans to link it with other public transport as well. Bus routes are being redesigned with the help of IIT Delhi. In future, this card will also be linked to Metro and RRTS, which will make multi-mode travel possible with a single card.
