RBI has clarified
The Reserve Bank of India has once again put an end to the misconceptions about 10-rupee coins. RBI has clarified that all the 14 designs of 10-rupee coins running in the market are completely valid. They can be used without hesitation. RBI has made a special appeal to the common people and traders in the notification. RBI clarified that all varieties of 10-rupee coins are completely legal and in circulation.
Strange confusion spread in coins
Many kinds of beliefs have been formed among people about the 10-rupee coin. If the coin has 15 rays on the top, then it is considered real. If the coin has fewer rays, then it is considered fake. This is completely misleading. Anyway, according to the RBI, two types of coins are in circulation. Coin with 15 rays (there is no ₹ symbol in it), coin with 10 rays, in which the ₹ sign is visible. Both types of designs are real and completely legal.
For information, let us tell you that the coins with 15 rays are from the time when the symbol of the rupee was not issued. Coins with rays were issued on 22 July 2011. The rupee sign is visible in them.
