What did Chief Minister Nitish Kumar say
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has clarified in his social media post: “We have directed the Education Department to calculate the vacant posts of teachers in government schools without delay and take action to conduct TRE-4 examination soon for appointment on them.

The state government has already made it clear that the benefit of 35 percent reservation to women in appointments will be given only to women who are natives of Bihar.” This step is a big effort towards empowering the women of the state and providing them with better opportunities in government jobs.
Why is there a huge need for teachers in Bihar
According to the information, Bihar currently needs about five and a half lakh teachers. In such a situation, this recruitment campaign can prove to be very beneficial for the Nitish government in the upcoming elections. Under this big recruitment campaign, teachers will be appointed at primary (class I-V), middle school (class VI-VIII), secondary (class IX-X), and higher secondary (class XI-XII) levels. This will help in meeting the shortage of teachers at every level of education, and children will be able to get a better education.
How was the recruitment process in the previous phases
The Bihar government has also conducted large-scale recruitment campaigns in the previous phases, which prepared a strong base for this time’s recruitment:
- 1.70 lakh teachers were appointed in the first phase (TRE-1).
- Under the second phase (TRE-2), 70,000 teachers received appointment letters.
- In the third phase (TRE-3), 87,774 posts were announced, out of which 66,603 posts could be filled. Many posts were left vacant, which will now be included in the fourth phase of recruitment.
- After three successful phases, the recruitment process for the fourth phase will start, which is expected to bring a big change in the field of education in the state.

This recruitment drive will not only strengthen the education scenario of Bihar but will also provide an unprecedented opportunity to lakhs of youth to get government jobs. Especially, this 35% reservation for women candidates of Bihar is an important step, which will help them to secure their future in the field of education. This step of the government shows the commitment to improve the quality of education in the state and provide employment to the youth. This recruitment process will prove to be a milestone in making the educational future of Bihar bright.
