Pixel Watch 4 Leak: The Pixel Watch 4 is going to be Google’s most comprehensive smartwatch yet. Based on a huge leak, the new wearable will bring significant improvements in battery life, performance, and screen technology. These updates will address most of the problems that limited the earlier Pixel Watch devices.

Improved Display with 3000nits Peak Brightness

One of the highlights of the Pixel Watch 4 is that it has a significantly brighter display. The new OLED screen should provide up to 3000nits of maximum brightness, which is a considerable jump over the last generation. That translates to consumers getting significantly better visibility in direct sunlight, and the Pixel Watch 4 will be much more functional outdoors. With thinner bezels, the screen should be more immersive and premium than ever.

Dual Chipset for Enhanced Performance and Efficiency

The Pixel Watch 4 will still employ the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chip, but this year’s model has a significant architectural shift, a dual-chip configuration. Along with the primary processor, there is now a new M55 co-processor taking over from last year’s M33. This second chip is quicker and more efficient, and it better manages background operations and AI loads. Google’s Gemini AI is also said to be included, bringing smarter notices and quicker voice responses.

Enhanced Battery Life on Both Sizes

Battery life is also receiving much-needed enhancement. The smaller 41mm Pixel Watch 4 will be powered by a 325mAh battery, while the bigger 45mm model receives a 455mAh cell. This should amount to 30 hours of usage with Always-on Display active and a maximum of 48 hours with battery saver mode on the small model. The 45mm will provide 40 hours of constant use and a maximum of 72 hours in power reserve mode, which makes it one of the class leaders in terms of battery life.

Side Charging and Bedside Mode Added

Another quality-of-life enhancement is side charging. This lets the Pixel Watch 4 lie flat on a dock and display as a digital bedside clock during charging. It’s a minor but considerate change that makes the device more usable during nighttime habits. Google should also introduce new accessories to enable this feature, like reimagined docks and magnetic cables.

Health Tracking, UWB Support, and New Sensors

When it comes to health and fitness, Pixel Watch 4 is loaded. It comes with SpO2 tracking sensors, ECG, heart rate monitoring, compass, barometer, altimeter, gyroscope, and even the UWB (ultrawideband) feature. With all this, the watch establishes itself as a dedicated health-tracking buddy for both general and fitness-conscious users.

Launch Date and Availability

Google will release the Pixel Watch 4 on August 20, 2025, at its Made by Google event, along with the Pixel 10 series. Pre-orders will probably start that same day, with the full release likely hitting by August 28. With major upgrades in nearly everything, the Pixel Watch 4 may just be the smartwatch that Google enthusiasts have been hoping for.
