UP Bakri Palan Yojana 2025 : The Uttar Pradesh government has taken another big step towards providing self-employment opportunities to the rural and urban unemployed youth of the state and increasing the income of farmers. Under the Goat Farming Scheme by the government, livestock farmers are being provided a subsidy of up to 50% of the total cost for starting goat rearing business. This scheme is being run by the Animal Husbandry Department under the National Livestock Mission (NLM).
What is Goat Rearing Scheme?
This scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government was started in 2023 and it has now been implemented in a more effective and comprehensive manner in 2025. Under this scheme, a loan of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 1 crore is being made available from the bank to the interested livestock farmers of the state to set up a goat rearing unit, on which a subsidy of up to 50% of the total cost will also be given.
Whether your unit has 100 goats or 500, the government will bear half of its cost. That is, if the cost is Rs 50 lakh, then the government will provide assistance up to Rs 25 lakh. Let us tell you that to avail the benefit, the applicant must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
This scheme is available both online and offline. The basic objective of the scheme is to promote animal husbandry in the state, empower rural livelihoods, double the income of farmers, and connect unemployed youth with self-employment. To apply for this scheme, you will first have to register on nlm.udyamimitra.in . Then login and select ‘Goat Farming Scheme’. After this, you will have to fill the required information and upload the documents.
