Vivo Y19s GT 5G: Vivo has released its latest Y-series phone, Vivo Y19s GT 5G, in Indonesia. As a departure from the usual naming practice, GT, which is typically reserved for high-performance smartphones, the phone itself happens to be a budget phone. Equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, the phone provides decent day-to-day performance along with 5G connectivity, speed performance, strong build, and must be especially noted in the pricing side.

Display and Build: Solid Build

Vivo Y19s GT 5G has a 6.74-inch LCD screen, and 1600 × 720 (HD+) display, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is as thin as 570 nits of brightness, so it’s wonderful to use indoors or outdoors. The device measures 167.30 x 76.95 x 8.19 mm and weighs 199 grams, so it’s hard to hold. Security is provided by the presence of a fingerprint sensor on the side, and the phone also maintains an IP64 dust and waterproofing certification as well as an MIL-STD-810H certification, which proves it can withstand rugged conditions.

Performance and Storage: Affordable but Effective

The internal brain of Y19s GT 5G is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with the guarantee of day-long performance, enough for regular multitasking and casual gaming. It comes with 6GB and 8GB options of LPDDR4X RAM, while in-device memory is up to 256GB eMMC 5.1. The extra RAM (up to a maximum of 8GB) can be used in combination with extra storage in the form of a 2TB capacity microSD card, giving it more room for multimedia as well as apps.

Camera and Battery: Good but Not Revolutionary

On the camera side, the Y19s GT 5G has a 50MP primary rear camera and an unspecified secondary rear camera. There is a 5MP dual-camera for video calls and selfies in a punch-hole notch on the phone as well. The camera software bundle is unrevolutionary but will suffice for daily photography. The phone comes with a 5,500mAh battery and wired charging support at 15W, and accordingly, there is enough energy to last through an entire day for most users.

Software and Connectivity: New and Reputable

Vivo Y19s GT 5G is preloaded with Funtouch OS 15, an Android 15 base, for a fresh software experience with the basics. The device features the connectivity options of 5G, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB-C port. The device is therefore adequately equipped for urban as well as rural use and connectivity.

For Price and Availability: Reasonable

The Vivo Y19s GT 5G is reasonably priced in Indonesia, with the base 6GB + 128GB being IDR 1,999,000. The 8GB + 128GB is IDR 2,199,000, and the flagship 8GB + 256GB will be IDR 2,399,000. It will come in Jade Green and Crystal Purple colors, bringing a fashion twist to an immersive package.
