Mahindra XEV 7e: Mahindra is ready to add more electric cars to its line of vehicles with the soon-to-be-launched XEV 7e. This new SUV promises to be a clever electric version of the well-known XUV700. While the demand for electric cars continues to grow, Mahindra is hoping to make waves with this SUV of the future. The car was recently spotted under test, offering us a glimpse of its design and features.
Contemporary and Future-Focused Design
Despite being entirely covered during testing, some design features were still observable. It has a closed front grille to minimize air drag and L-shaped LED DRLs. Dual-tone aero alloy wheels give a sporty touch. The XEV 7e will also receive flush-fitting doors, similar to the BE 6 and XEV 9e, making its aerodynamic design better. A panoramic sunroof completes the premium look of the SUV.
Premium Interiors
Inside, the XEV 7e will borrow much from the XEV 9e. It will receive a technology-laden cabin, with a two-spoke steering wheel supported by an LED-illuminated Mahindra logo and a three-piece dashboard displaying both infotainment and driver display screens. Other things include multi-zone climate control, ventilated front seats with memory, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system aided by Dolby Atmos.
Advanced Features
Mahindra can offer ambient lighting and remote parking support in this SUV. It will possibly be offered with fresh interior color schemes and better materials to match the EV segment look and feel. The intention is to provide a rich and connected driving experience.
Battery and Power Options
Mahindra is also developing other battery sizes between 60-65 kWh for base models and 80+ kWh for top models. The XEV 7e will feature ultra-fast charging and will be available in RWD as well as AWD formats. The base model can possibly feature a single motor rear axle, whereas the flagship model will be equipped with two motors that will produce close to 325 bhp.

Expected Launch Timeline
Mahindra hasn’t announced the launch date, but the XEV 7e will likely come out by the end of 2025. It might be teased on 15 August 2025 during the EV festival. After its launch, it will occupy the position between BE 6 and XEV 9e in Mahindra’s expanding EV lineup.
