DA of central employees can be increased by up to 3 percent.
After the increase of 3 percent, there will be a 58 percent increase in DA. Currently, employees get the benefit of 55 percent DA. The increased DA rates will be applicable from July 1, 2025.
The government has not yet provided any official information regarding the date of the DA hike.
According to media reports, the DA hike is expected to be announced on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
The Modi government increases DA twice every year.
The rates of this increased DA are applicable from 1st January and 1st July.
The 8th Pay Commission has been approved, but it has not been constituted yet.
