Nothing Phone (3) vs. Vivo T4 Ultra: The mid-year of 2025 is quite exciting for smartphone lovers, because on one side there is Nothing Phone (3) which was launched on 1 July 2025, and on the other side there is Vivo T4 Ultra which was already launched in the market on 11 June. Both the phones promise to give a premium experience, but in their own different ways. Now it will be interesting to see which phone is right for you.
Price & Availability
First of all, let’s talk about money. The starting price of Nothing Phone (3) starts at ₹ 44,990, which offers 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Higher variants like 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB can go up to ₹60,000+. On the other hand, the base variant of Vivo T4 Ultra is available for ₹37,999 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, and the top model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is available for ₹41,999. So if you are looking at the budget, Vivo is clearly pocket-friendly.
Design & Build Quality
Nothing Phone (3) has brought something new and unique in terms of design. Its transparent back panel has become more stylish now, and the LED setup called Glyph Matrix has become quite functional too – it shows notifications, clock, volume and battery indicators. Apart from this, the phone also comes with an IP68 rating, which protects it from water and dust. There is Gorilla Glass 7i on the front and Victus glass on the back, meaning the build quality is solid.
On the other hand, the Vivo T4 comes with an Ultra slim and curved display. There is an oval-shaped camera module on the back panel. The design is classy and is available in Phoenix Gold and Meteor Grey colours. There is an IP64 rating, which offers basic splash resistance. So the design is modern but looks a bit simple compared to the Nothing Phone (3).
Display
For display lovers, both phones have amazing things. The Nothing Phone (3) sports a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3000 nits peak brightness. The Vivo T4 Ultra sports a slightly smaller 6.67-inch 1.5K Quad Curved AMOLED panel that has both better resolution and brightness than the Nothing – it goes up to 5000 nits peak brightness. Vivo is slightly ahead for outdoor visibility and HDR content viewing.
Performance
In the performance department, both phones are at the full flagship level. The Nothing Phone (3) is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset which is based on 4nm and is well optimised for AI and gaming. Its variants go from 8GB to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The Vivo T4 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset which is quite powerful and can even outperform the Snapdragon in multi-core performance. The RAM and storage options are a bit limited but there is no compromise in performance.
Cameras
For camera lovers, this comparison is quite close. The Nothing Phone (3) has a 50MP triple rear setup – main, ultrawide and periscope telephoto lens. There is also a 50MP high-resolution selfie camera on the front. Ultra XDR video and 4K@60fps recording features are also available.
Vivo T4 Ultra also has a strong setup – 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, 8MP ultrawide and 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto. Special features are 10x telephoto macro and 100x digital zoom. There is a 32MP camera on the front. But if the resolution of all the lenses is taken into account, then Nothing Phone (3) takes a slight edge, especially with its consistent 50MP sensors.
Battery & Charging
Talking about the battery, Vivo T4 Ultra has a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging. The Nothing Phone (3) has a 5,150 mAh battery, but it comes with 100W wired fast charging, which gives full charge in less than 1 hour. Wireless charging is also available – 15W regular and 5W reverse charging. This feature is missing in Vivo, so from this angle Nothing is both practical and flexible.
Software & AI
The Nothing Phone (3) is running on the latest Android 15 based Nothing OS 3.5. This OS is clean, minimal and close to stock Android. It has integrated AI features taking advantage of Snapdragon chipset. Updates are also available long-term – promise of up to 5 years OS and 7 years of security updates.
The Vivo T4 Ultra also comes with Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. This OS is feature-rich – it includes tools like Circle to Search, AI Transcript Assist, Smart Layout. But the time-frame of updates is not that clear.
Final Verdict
Both the phones are strong in their own places. Nothing Phone (3) If you want a unique design, wireless charging, consistent camera setup and long-term updates, then this can be the perfect choice. Vivo T4 Ultra is best for those users who want a slightly affordable phone with a flagship-level processor, bright and sharp display, and powerful zoom camera.
The best phone for you will be the one that matches your priorities – if you want design and software longevity then Nothing Phone (3), if you want performance and display then Vivo T4 Ultra!
