In the financial year 2025, the company sold more than 80,000 robust hybrid cars, enjoying a whopping 79% market share. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder came next with 26,834 units retailed, followed by the Camry with 1,865 units. The Vellfire was at the lowest position with 1,155 units retailed. These numbers reflect that Toyota is leading the hybrid market and Indian customers are moving in large numbers towards greener cars.

Though Toyota does not have an electric car in the market in India, its petrol-based cars continued to dominate with 38.6% of sales. However, diesel cars occupied 25.6% of the market, while CNG cars brought 9.1% with sales of 28,089 units. This indicates Toyota’s multi-model portfolio is pulling consumers from various fuel types, with hybrids dominating.

Toyota Innova Hycross Hybrid begins at ₹19.94 lakh and goes up to ₹32.58 lakh for the top-of-the-line trim. It is available in 11 variants. Safety features like six airbags, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a 360-degree camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchorage are crucial and contribute significantly to family buyers who are seeking a secure hybrid MPV.
