NHAI App– Good news for vehicle owner’s. NHAI’s HighwayYatra app will add a new feature from next month, which will give drivers information about the lowest toll route between two destinations. HighwayYatra gives travellers comprehensive information about national highways and also gives them an efficient complaint redressal mechanism.
Giving an example, Amrit Singha, Chief Product Officer, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Indian Highways Management Company (IHMCL), said that there are three routes to go from Delhi to Lucknow and this app will help commuters choose the best route.
Singha said that you can go from Delhi to Lucknow via Yamuna Expressway, or travel by crossing Ghaziabad-Aligarh-Kanpur-Lucknow or Moradabad-Bareilly-Sitapur-Lucknow … The app will inform the drivers about the route which will have the lowest toll between Delhi and Lucknow.
Citing data compiled by NHAI’s traffic management system (ATMS), he lamented that two-wheeler and three-wheeler riders are illegally entering the Delhi-Gurgaon and Dwarka expressways. According to ATMS sample data, 1.73 lakh violations were recorded between June 21 and June 23 and more than one lakh of these were related to banned vehicles.
Pradeep Atri, regional officer of NHAI Rajasthan, said that this new four-lane access-controlled Bandikui-Jaipur section, built at a cost of Rs 1,368 crore, is expected to open for traffic testing by mid-July.
People can travel from Delhi to Lucknow via Yamuna Expressway or go via Ghaziabad-Aligarh-Kanpur-Lucknow or Moradabad-Bareilly-Sitapur-Lucknow. The app will tell drivers about the route with the lowest toll between Delhi and Lucknow.
