Bihar Pension Hike update: Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made a big announcement for women and weaker sections. On Saturday, he announced on Instagram that under the Social Security Pension Scheme, all elderly, differently-abled individuals, and widowed women will now get ₹ 1100 pension instead of ₹ 400 every month. Increased pension will be available from July

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has clarified that all beneficiaries will get pension at the increased rate from the month of July 2025. He has also directed to ensure that this amount is sent to the accounts of all beneficiaries on the 10th of every month. This will ensure that people do not have to wait for their pension and they get financial assistance on time.

Crores of beneficiaries will get direct benefits

The Chief Minister said that this important decision will help 1 crore 9 lakh 69 thousand 255 beneficiaries a lot. He said, “The elderly are a precious part of the society, and ensuring their dignified living is our top priority.” The state government will continue to make efforts in this direction.
