HMIS portal and mobile app launched

The Health Ministry has recently launched a new HMIS (Health Management Information System) portal and a user-friendly mobile app for CGHS. Now people can download e-cards, book appointments from mobile.

PAN-based Unique ID

Every beneficiary will now be given a unique CGHS ID linked to PAN like Aadhaar. This will keep all records in one place and the chances of fraud will also be reduced.

Now the old Bharatkosh portal has been closed. CGHS subscription or renewal fees can now be deposited only on the new HMIS portal and the payment gets verified instantly. Earlier, to get life saving machines like oxygen concentrator, CPAP, BiPAP, one had to submit documents several times and wait for approval. Now the facility of online application and approval has started for all these devices. CGHS cardholders who have trouble breathing at night can now get approval for BiPAP from home in 5 days instead of 20 days.
