Kia Syros EV May Hit the Showrooms in 2025
Kia is developing the electric variant of its recently launched Syros SUV. The compact EV, scheduled to launch next year, can be expected to borrow several aspects from the Carens Clavis EV. Targeting Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400, it will have contemporary design and tech aspects in tune with Indian roads and tastes.
Maruti Suzuki eWX Can Reposition Urban Hatchbacks
Based on the eWX concept earlier revealed in Japan, Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming compact electric hatchback is set to offer a tall-boy design with better cabin space. It is expected to be a modern successor to the WagonR, emphasizing interior room and upright design, making it a practical choice for daily city use.

One of India’s top-selling subcompact EVs, Tata Punch EV, is ready to get a facelift next year. The new model will have Tata’s newest design philosophy and a richer feature set. A superior range of driving is also on the cards, so it becomes a stronger contender in the expanding compact EV market.
Mahindra XUV 3XO EV Prepares to Launch
Mahindra has been spotted testing the XUV 3XO EV on several occasions, and it should arrive in the market soon. The electric SUV will be positioned below the XUV400 and share parts like the battery pack with its sibling. Though there may be some styling and interior updates, it will look very much like the standard 3XO in terms of dimensions and stance.
Hyundai to Launch Several Compact EVs
Hyundai plans to launch a range of compact electric vehicles in India over the next few years. The Inster-based electric SUV is anticipated to arrive in 2026. Alongside this, Hyundai could also introduce electric versions of the Grand i10 Nios and the second-gen Venue. These EVs will broaden Hyundai’s zero-emission portfolio in the compact category.
Nissan’s Upcoming A-Segment EV Promises Over 400 km Range
Among four electric offerings that Nissan is targeting in India, one stands out – a new A-segment EV. While technical specs are limited, the small EV will have more than 400 km range on a full charge. Nissan is looking at high-volume sales with this vehicle, and it may find buyers among frugal urban customers.
