Toll Tax Policy: Every day, crores of people travel from one place to another across the country. Some travel by flight. Some travel by train. Some travel by personal vehicle. Anyone traveling from one state to another with his vehicle has to pay toll tax while crossing the border. If we talk according to the data, there are more than a thousand toll plazas in India. Where toll is charged according to different vehicles.

Earlier people had to stand in long queues to pay toll and had to pay the toll charges manually. But now there is a system of fastag to pay toll tax in India. In which drivers can easily pay the toll tax and move ahead without standing in the queue. But now there is news that a new toll system is going to be implemented in the country. Due to which the way of paying toll tax will change.

Toll will have to be paid according to the kilometer

At present, any vehicle in India that passes through a toll plaza has to pay a certain amount as toll through a fastag scan. But work on a new toll policy has already begun in India. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is in the process of implementing this new policy in the country.

Under this new toll policy, vehicles will have to pay toll based on the kilometres travelled. This means that toll charges will be automatically deducted from the bank account based on the distance travelled by the vehicle. However, let us tell you that the government has not yet officially shared any information regarding when this policy will be implemented.

This is how the new toll policy will work

According to reports, under the new toll policy, fastag and cameras will be installed at all toll plazas. Under this, toll will be deducted directly from the bank account of the vehicle owners. Under the new policy, the government will prepare an advanced system based on Automatic Number Plate Recognition i.e. ANPR technology.
