Air India Plane Crash Photos: There were 242 people on board AI 171, including 230 passengers, two pilots, and 10 cabin crew. Air India said, “The Boeing 787-8 aircraft had 242 passengers and crew members on board the flight, which departed from Ahmedabad at 1338 hrs. Of these, 169 are Indian citizens, 53 are British citizens, 1 is a Canadian citizen, and 7 are Portuguese citizens. The plane was flying to London when it exploded near the airport boundary during takeoff. Now, many pictures of the Air India plane that crashed into a medical college in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, are going viral on social media. In the pictures, it can be seen that a part of the plane is stuck inside the hostel of the students of BJ Medical College.
