Oben Electric
Oben Electric has shared information about its new O100 platform, which will form the basis of the company’s second electric bike. The biggest feature of this platform is that it is built on a modular design, so that different battery packs and model variants can be easily fitted in it.
This means that Oben can launch many new models using this platform in the future. Also, the company claims that this platform is built with high scalability, which can increase performance and range.
Price
Oben Electric aims to launch this new electric bike in the market at a price of less than Rs 1 lakh. If this happens, then this bike can make a splash in India’s large 100cc commuter bike segment, which accounts for about 30% of the country’s two-wheeler market.
Getting an electric bike at this price will be a big advantage for the customers, because the running cost of EV is much lower than petrol bikes. Along with this, the benefit of government subsidy and tax benefits will also be available.
Current Oben Bikes
Oben Electric is already selling two electric bikes called Rorr EZ and Rorr, which are built on the ARX platform. Their price ranges from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh. The new O100 platform bike will be cheaper than these and will further strengthen the company’s product portfolio.
