Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G: Oppo has launched its new Reno 14 series in China. Two models have been introduced in this series – Oppo Reno 14 5G and Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G. Both the smartphones come with powerful features, big battery and premium design. These phones have Android 15 based ColorOS 15 and both the devices come with IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings, making them very strong in dust and water resistance.
New shine seen in display and design
Oppo Reno 14 5G has a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display, while Reno 14 Pro 5G has a large 6.83-inch flat OLED panel. Both the phones have a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, making the scrolling and gaming experience very smooth. With this, 3,840Hz PWM dimming and Crystal Shield Glass protection are available, which makes the screen more secure.
Powerful experience in processor and performance
The Reno 14 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, while the Pro model gets the new Dimensity 8450 processor. Both these chipsets are designed for multitasking and high-performance use. RAM options are up to 12GB and 16GB and internal storage ranges from 256GB to 1TB, so there is no shortage of space.
Big change in camera quality
Both the phones of the Oppo Reno 14 series have a 50-megapixel OIS-supported main camera. It comes with a 50MP periscope camera that supports 3.5x optical zoom. A 50MP front camera is also available for selfies. The base model has an 8MP ultrawide camera, while the Pro model gets a 50MP ultrawide lens, which can be considered a great upgrade in this range.
Huge power in battery and charging
The Reno 14 5G has a 6,000mAh battery, while the Reno 14 Pro 5G has a powerful 6,200mAh battery. Both the smartphones support 80W wired fast charging. Apart from this, the Pro model also has the facility of 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging, which makes the wireless charging experience even better.
Latest technology in safety, connectivity and operating system
Both these phones have an in-display fingerprint scanner. All modern options like 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and USB Type-C are available for connectivity. Both the devices run on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, which makes the interface experience more smart and fresh.
Variants and pricing information
The starting price of Reno 14 5G is CNY 2,799 i.e. around ₹ 33,200 which is for the 12GB + 256GB variant. At the same time, its top model is available with 16GB + 1TB storage for CNY 3,799 i.e. around ₹ 45,100.
The starting price of the Pro version starts at CNY 3,499 i.e. around ₹ 41,500 and its top variant comes with 16GB + 1TB storage for CNY 4,499 i.e. around ₹ 53,400.
Color options and sale date
Reno 14 5G comes in three colors – Mermaid, Pinellia Green and Reef Black. While Reno 14 Pro 5G has been launched in Calla Lily Purple, Mermaid and Reef Black shades.
Both these smartphones are currently available for pre-order on Oppo e-store in China and their first sale will start from May 23. There has been no official announcement regarding Oppo’s India launch yet, but it is expected that these phones will soon hit the Indian market as well.
